Essex, Montana is a small little mountain town located halfway between East Glacier and West Glacier on US Highway 2 at the southern most end of Glacier National Park.

Once known for the fact that an old inn in town housed snow removal crews for the Great Northern Railroad, today Essex is a well-known destination place or a stopping place year round for visitors of all types.
