Fees & Permits

Glacier National Park fees are listed here, including entrance costs for single vehicles, individuals (on foot, bicycle or motorcycle), and commercial vehicles, as well as annual pass and backcountry permit fees.

  • Single Vehicle Entrance Fee: $25 for 7 days per vehicle ($15 during winter season)
  • Bicycle or Motorcycle Entrance Fee: $12 per person ($10/winter)
  • Annual Pass for Glacier National Park: $35
  • Annual Pass for All National Parks: $80

Entrance Fees  (Valid for 7 days)

Private Vehicle: Covers all people traveling in a single, non-commercial automobile.

    Season: May 1 – November 30
    Rate: $25
  • Winter
    Season: December 1 – April 30
    Rate: $15

Single Entry: Per individual covering those on foot, bicycle, motorcycle, or as part of an organized group.

  • Summer
    Season: May 1 – November 30

  • Winter
    Season: December 1 – April 30
    Rate: $10

Commercial Vehicles/Tour Groups: Based upon automobile’s seating capacity (driver excluded). Fees apply year-round.

  • 1-6 Passengers
    Rate: $25/vehicle plus $12 per person (free for passengers under 16).
  • 7-15 Passengers
    Rate: $75/vehicle
  • 16 – 25 Passengers
    Rate: $100/vehicle
  • 26 Passengers
    Rate: $200/vehicle

Glacier National Park Annual Pass: Good for one year from month of purchase. Allows entry for all passengers in a single, non-commercial vehicle, or purchaser and immediate family when traveling by means other than commercial vehicle (foot, bike).

  • Rate: $35

America the Beautiful Passes: Allows access to all National Parks and Federal Recreation Lands for one year from date of sale. Covers purchaser and passengers in single, non-commerical vehicle; children under 16 free.

  • Annual Pass
    Fee: $80
  • Senior Pass
    Fee: $10
    Conditions: Lifetime pass for seniors over 62.
  • Access Pass
    Fee: Free
    Conditions: Lifetime pass for US Citizen/permanent resident with permanent disabilities.
  • Volunteer Pass
    Fee: Free
    Conditions: Covers volunteers acquiring 500 or more cumulative service hours.

Glacier Park Free Entrance Days

  • September 25 (National Public Lands Day)
  • November 11 (Veterans Days)

Camping Permits

Camping fees required in addition to entrance fees. Rates range from $10 - $23 per night.

Backcountry Permits

Backcountry permits required for all overnight camping.

  • Fees: Range from free (children 7 and under) - $5 per night.
  • $60/Season Pass
  • Reservations available for trips between June 15 - September 30. ($30 reservation fee.)
