Glacier National Park Winter Vacations

The white blanket of winter covers Glacier, Whitefish and Flathead Valley, encouraging outdoor enthusiasts to hop on a snowmobile, grab a pair of snowshoes, or ski and board down the local slopes.

The Glacier region in northern Montana turns into a winter wonderland once the snow starts to stick to the ground in late fall. Winter temperatures tend to be more mild than expected, as the resort sits on the western side of the Rockies and is therefore in a milder, climate-protected region.
