Although internet access is limited within the boundaries of Glacier National Park, many of the communities surrounding the Park do have internet access. The towns of Waterton, Whitefish, Kalispell, St. Mary, East and West Glacier, and Apgar each have some method of connecting to the internet. The internet has become apart of the everyday life of individuals worldwide. As a result, when individuals travel, they often depend on the internet to stay in touch with friends and family back home or to keep in touch with work interests. Even though the closest towns to Glacier National Park are small communities, the majority of them have internet access.
In today's modern world, most hotels, motels, inns, bed and breakfasts, and private vacation homes now advertise that they provide high-speed internet connections. Either you can bring your own laptop along with you or you can locate a facility that has an onsite computer.
In Whitefish, Montana alone you can find nearly ten WiFi hotspots – either cafes, campgrounds, hotels, motels, and the Whitefish Branch Library. In Kalispell, there are several WiFi hotspots that include coffee shops, a deli, a bookstore, and the Flathead County Library. Therefore, when you are planning to explore the great outdoors of Glacier National you can still stay connected to the modern world.
