For some, sailing across the open water with a slight breeze in your face is satisfaction enough for a fullfilling vacation.
Flathead Lake is considered by many to be the pre-eminent waterway for sailing aficionados in the northern Rockies, and often has hosted the Montana Sailing Championship Regatta (aka the Montana Cup Race) in mid-summer, attracting some of the finest boats, teams and racers from around the region.
