Glacier National Park Lakes, Rivers & Waterfalls

Miles of tranquil floating, fishing and wildlife watching is available on the Flathead River, Milk River, Hungry Horse Reservoir and Koocanusa Lake. The Kootenai River is excellent for whitewater rafting. Eighteen lakes compose the Thompson Chain of Lakes. The area surrounding Whitefish Lake is protected by the Whitefish Area Trust Land Plan.
