Park Fees
When planning your vacation to Glacier National Park, keep in mind that the park charges several fees to use its resources. Funds collected from these fees are used for park maintenance, upkeep, and program improvements.
7-Day Automobile/Vehicle Permit
Entrance fee for all persons traveling in a single, private, non-commercial vehicle (car/truck/van). Non-transferable.
Summer Rate - $25.00 May 1, 2009 - November 30, 2009
Winter Rate - $15.00 December 1, 2008 - April 30, 2009
7-Day Single Entry Permit
Per person entrance fee for a visitor traveling on foot, bicycle, motorcycle, or for individuals traveling together in a vehicle as a non-commercial, organized group. Non-transferable.
Summer Rate - $12.00 May 1, 2009- November 30, 2009
Winter Rate - $10.00 December 1, 2008 - April 30, 2009
Glacier National Park Annual Pass - $35.00
Valid for one year from month of purchase. Admits purchaser and passengers in a single, private, non-commercial vehicle, or the pass holder and his/her immediate family (spouse, children, parents) when entry is by other means (foot, bicycle).
Senior Pass - $10.00
This is a lifetime pass for U.S. citizens or permanent residents age 62 or over. The pass admits the pass holder and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle at per vehicle fee areas and pass holder three adults, not to exceed 4 adults, at per person fee areas (children under 16 are admitted free).
Access Pass - Free
This is a lifetime pass for U.S. citizens or permanent residents with permanent disabilities. Documentation is required to obtain the pass.
Tour Groups - Commercial Vehicles
Entrance fees are based on the seating capacity of the vehicle (driver not included).
1 – 6 passengers: $25.00 per vehicle plus $12.00 per person (16 years of age or older)
7 – 15 passengers: $75.00 per vehicle
16 – 25 passengers: $100.00 per vehicle
26 passengers: $200.00
Camping Fees
- Campground sites cost about $12 to $15 per night, depending on the campground. Select a vacant site and pay at a registration area by completing a fee envelope and depositing it in the fee tube within 30 minutes of arrival. Retain the envelope receipt and clip it on your numbered site post. Pay only for the nights you plan to camp refunds are not available.
- Campsite stay is limited to seven consecutive days. Check out time is 12:00 noon. If staying another night re-register by 11:30 a.m.
- Campsite capacity is limited to eight people and two vehicles (where space is available) and, unless otherwise designated or upon approval from a park ranger or campground host, a maximum of two tents per site. Utility hook-ups are not provided and connection to water, sewer, or electrical outlets is prohibited.
- Group sites for 9-24 campers are available at Apgar, Many Glacier, St. Mary, and Two Medicine. Check with a park ranger or campground host prior to using.
- Camping is permitted only in designated campgrounds. Sites may not to be left unattended for over 24 hours.
Fishing Fees
- There is no fee or license required to fish in Glacier.
- Regulations governing fishing need to be followed. Stop by a visitor center to obtain a copy of the regulations.
- The general park fishing season is from the third Saturday in May to November 30.
