Give your feet a rest from hiking and enjoy a Glacier National Park guided boat tour, taking in magnificent scenery from the waters of Many Glacier, Lake MacDonald, St. Mary Lake, or Two Medicine Lake.

Combine a peaceful lake cruise with dazzling mountain scenery on a Glacier Park boat tour. Operating since 1938, Glacier Park Boat Company handles the majority of the park’s boat tours, while Waterton Shoreline Cruise Company provides access between Waterton Lakes National Park and Glacier National Park.

Free, guided hikes are included with certain Glacier Park Boat Co. tours, allowing visitors to further explore the park's gorgeous terrain, with return on a later boat.

Fees
Reservations recommended. Fares from $11.25 - $22/adults, $5.50 - $11/children. (Free for children under 4.)

  • Many Glacier
    Highlights: Board Chief Two Guns for a tour of Swiftcurrent Lake before departing for a short walk to Lake Josephine, where you will board Morning Eagle to learn about “glacial flour” and more.
    Dock Location: Many Glacier Hotel.
    Cruise Length: 1.5 hrs
    Season: Early June – Mid September
    Departure Times: Morning/afternoon.
    Guided Hike: Grinnell Lake (2 miles roundtrip).
  • Lake MacDonald
    Highlights: Relax aboard the DeSmet as you enjoy a sunset during peak season.
    Dock Location: Lake MacDonald Lodge.
    Cruise Length: 1.5 hours
    Departure Times: Morning/afternoon/evening.
    Season: Late May – Mid September
    Guided Hike: None.
  • St. Mary Lake
    Highlights: Waterfalls. 
    Dock Location: Rising Sun Boat Dock
    Cruise Length: 45 minutes.
    Departure Times: Morning/afternoon/evening.
    Season: Mid June – Early September
    Guided Hike: St. Mary Falls (under 2 miles roundtrip). 
  • Two Medicine Lake
    Highlights: Rugged, backcountry views.
    Location: Two Medicine Lake boat dock.
    Cruise Length: 45 minutes.
    Departure Times: Morning/afternoon/evening.
    Season: Mid June – Early September
    Guided Hike: Twin Falls. (1.8 miles roundtrip).
