Glacier Golden Autumn Arts & Crafts Show
Essex, Montana is a small little mountain town located halfway between East Glacier and West Glacier on US Highway 2 at the southern most end of Glacier National Park.
Once known for the fact that an old inn in town housed snow removal crews for the Great Northern Railroad, today Essex is a well-known destination place or a stopping place year round for visitors of all types. If you are interested in the history of the railroad or like to cross country ski, Essex is the area for you.
Fall is one of the most beautiful times of the year to travel through and enjoy Glacier National Park. The Glacier Golden Autumn Arts and Crafts Show and Sale occurs during the fall, so the visitor and local alike can have a dual purpose for being in Essex during that time of year. The event welcomes craftsmen and artists from throughout Montana. It is a great place to view the unusual, artistic and unique.
This year's event: October 18th - 19th, 2008. For more information, please visit the Izaak Walton Inn, sponsor of the event.
