When traveling in Glacier National Park, you should find out where to take showers and do a laundry after a full and exciting day of hiking, climbing and sightseeing.

If you love getting back to nature and are fascinated by geological wonders, glaciers and lots of unspoiled landscape, then you need to take a camping trip to Glacier National Park. Of course, when it’s time to clean up, you should be aware of where you can find the proper facilities.


Of the thirteen campgrounds within the boundaries of Glacier National Park, only one has shower facilities – Rising Sun Campground. Showers are available here for a small fee. With thirteen different campgrounds that have over one thousand sites to choose from, you can find just the right spot to pitch your tent or park your RV.

Swiftcurrent Motor Inn, located by Swiftcurrent Lake in the park, has showers and other facilities for hikers and campers.


It’s important to be able to get some clean clothes now and then, so you need to know where to find a public laundry. Inside the park you’ll find one at the Swiftcurrent Motor Inn.

Outside of Glacier National Park

To make the most of your vacation and not rough it too much, it’s best to stay in some comfortable lodging, where you can easily clean up after a long, hard day of Glacier Park adventures.

Outside of the park, you can stay in West Glacier, one gateway community. There are also accommodations at other gateway towns, such as East Glacier Park, Essex and St. Mary. Larger towns a little further away, like Columbia Falls, Whitefish and Kalispell, Montana, have lodging with all the amenities you need. Private campgrounds are abundant, and many provide laundry facilities.
