Glacier National Park is a national park in Montana. It was established on May 11, 1910 by an act of the United States Congress.

Glacier Park contains almost 1,584 mi² (4101 sq. km) of forest, mountains and lakes. It borders Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada, and the two were designated an international peace park in 1932. They were also designated Biosphere Reserves in 1976 and World Heritage sites in 1995, jointly called the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park.

Triple Divide Peak is a mountain on the divide between the Pacific Ocean, Hudson Bay and Gulf of Mexico watersheds. The north fork of the Flathead River forms the western boundary of the park.

Waterton Lakes National Park is a national park located in the extreme southwest corner of Alberta, Canada, and borders Glacier National Park in Montana, USA.

Waterton Lakes National Park was Canada's fourth national park, formed in 1895 and named after Waterton Lakes. The park contains 525 km² (203 mi²) of rugged mountains and wilderness.

In 1932, Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park was formed from Waterton Lakes National Park and Glacier National Park.

The union of the parks was achieved through the efforts of Rotary International members from Alberta and Montana in 1932. It was the world's first International Peace Park, symbolising peace and friendship between the two countries. To this day, it remains the world's only one set up with that primary purpose.

The park, which is operated by Parks Canada, is open all year round, but the main tourist season is July and August. The only commercial facilities available within the park are located at the Waterton Park townsite. The park ranges in elevation from 1,290 metres (4,230ft) at the townsite to 2,920 m (9,580 ft) at Mount Blakiston. It offers many scenic trails, including the excellent Crypt Lake trail.
